Taliban recruitment-in charge was arrested in Ghoryan district of Herat province.
Abdul Ahad Walizada, spokesman for Herat police, told Killid that the man named Mullah Akhtar was arrested in a clearing operation of Afghan security forces.
Walizada added that Mullah Akhtar was in charge of recruitment for Taliban militants in the district.
He added that the man is also suspected of several terror incidents and laying mines in some districts.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on Mullah Akhtar’s arrest.
