A Taliban member was arrested by National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel in Herat.
A press release from provincial NDS directorate stated that the man named Mohammad Arif is a resident of Qades district of Badghis province.
The statement added that the man was a close aid of Saleh Mohammad, Taliban shadow district governor for Qades.
The statement further stated that Mohammad Arif has confessed being involved in several terrorist incidents.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
