At least 17 armed anti-government insurgents including two Daesh militants were killed during the past 24 hours in Afghan security forces’ operations in ten provinces.
A press release from Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that the operations were conducted in Ghazni, Farah, Logar, Badghis, Baghlan, Takhar, Uruzgan, Kunar, Badakhshan and Helmand provinces.
The statement added that 12 insurgents were injured.
The statement further stated that in the past 24 hours eight clearance operations, 69 special operations, 100 supportive air operations and five airstrikes were conducted against the enemies.
During the operations, weapons and vehicles were also destroyed.
Taliban militants are yet to comment about the operations.
