Security officials in Khas Uruzgan district of Uruzgan province reported that 15 Afghan National Army soldiers surrendered to Taliban after clashes, a claim rejected by local officials.
Police Chief of Khas Uruzgan Lalai said that 15 ANA soldiers surrendered to Taliban insurgents after clashes.
He added that two ANA soldiers were also killed after severe clashes.
Meanwhile local officials rejected Lalai’s claims and said they have no information about the incident.
Lalai further stated that they have no ammunition and if ammunition is not send to them on time, the district will face severe security threat.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
