Security officials in Uruzgan province said that dozens Taliban insurgents were either killed or injured in Afghan security forces’ air and ground strikes.
Brigadier Rahmat Shah Qemati, commander of fourth brigadier of Afghan National Army ANA in Trinkot, told Killid that Afghan forces conducted air strikes on Taliban hideouts in Chori district last night in which 25 Taliban fighters were killed and 10 injured.
He added that six Taliban insurgents were killed and 12 injured in clashes with Afghan forces in Khas Uruzgan district of the province.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
