At least 7 people were killed and over 20 were injured after a bus collided with a car in Kandahar province on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened in Tormanda area of Maiwand district.
Qudratullah Khushbakht, spokesman for provincial governor, said that the passenger bus was on its way to Herat province.
He added that seven people were killed and 22 others were injured.
Collisions on highways are common in Afghanistan, with officials often blaming recklessness among drivers.
