A press release from Maiwand 215 Military Corps stated that nine Taliban insurgents were killed and two injured in a joint military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in Nad Ali district last night.
A press release from Helmand police also stated that six Talban insurgents were arrested during operations conducted by Afghan forces in Mosa Qala, Khaneshen districts and Lashkargah, provincial capital of Helmand.
The statement added that a vehicle, six motorbikes, and 20 kg of explosive materials were also confiscated.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
