Six Taliban group members who were involved in planting Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on roadsides were arrested by the Afghan security forces in Nangarhar province.
A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that the men were involved in planting mines in Pachiragam and Chaparhar districts.
The statement added that the men have confessed to their crime.
The anti-government armed militant groups frequently use Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to target Afghan officials and security forces but in majority of such attacks the ordinary civilians are targeted.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
