The government has put names of the Kabul Intercontinental Hotel head and three officials of the hotel’s security company on the Exist Control List (ECL).
A source from Attorney General’s Office (AGO) speaking on the condition of anonymity said head of the Intercontinental Hotel, head of the Kabul Balkh security company, its deputy head and security chief, a US citizen, had been put on the ECL.
The Kabul Balkh Safety Security (KBSS) took its operational permit from the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) in 2004 and is also registered with the Ministry of Interior and has received operational certificate.
Mohammad Saeed Rahimi, KBSS chief, said that putting them on ECL had not been formally conveyed to them.
He strongly rejected the involvement of their company’s employees in the deadly attack on the hotel and added the issue was being looked after by their lawyer.
He said so far 13 employees of the company had been arrested by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and were being investigated.
Earlier, the interior minister had said the attacker might had been entered the facility with cooperation of security officials.
