Local officials in Helmand said that a suicide bomber, who was sent by Taliban to carry out a suicide attack in Nad Ali district, turned himself into police.
Abdul Salam Afghan, spokesman for Helmand police, told Killid that the man surrendered to police in PD2 of Lashkargah, provincial capital of Helmand.
Taliban, who currently rule six districts of Helmand, have so far said nothing about the incident.
