Six Taliban Insurgents Killed, 16 Injured in Northeast

Security officials in north and northeast of the country said that 22 armed anti-government insurgents were either killed or injured in Afghan National Army (ANA) operations in north and northeast of the country over the past 24 hours.

Six Taliban Insurgents Killed, 16 Injured in Northeast

Security officials in north and northeast of the country said that 22 armed anti-government insurgents were either killed or injured in Afghan National Army (ANA) operations in north and northeast of the country over the past 24 hours.

A press release from Shaheen 209 Military Corps stated that Afghan security forces conducted operations in Kunduz and Baghlan provinces over the past 24 hours.

The statement added that two Taliban fighters were killed and 11 others including a Pakistani national were injured in Dand-e-Shababuddin area of Baghlan.

The statement further stated that four Taliban insurgents were killed and five injured in Khan Abad district of Kunduz.

This comes as Shaheen Military Corps reported yesterday that 60 insurgents were killed over the past six days in Afghan security forces’ operations in Chardara district of Kunduz.
