Six policemen, one intelligence personnel, and a counter-terrorism personnel of Farah police were killed and 10 policemen were injured in a Taliban attack on police check posts in the province.
Jamila Amini, member of Farah provincial council, told Killid that Taliban militants attacked on Rege police check post in which five policemen were killed and six were seriously injured.
She added that one intelligence personnel along with a counter-terrorism personnel was also killed when their vehicle came under Taliban attack.
She pointed to Iran and Pakistan as the main supporters of Taliban.
She further stated that Taliban militants also attacked a police check post in Poshtroad district two days ago in which one policeman was killed and four others were injured.
