Jamiat-e-Islami delegation visits Balkh

A delegation of senior Jamiat-e-Islami members arrived to Balkh province yesterday evening after Ata Mohammad Noor announced his decision to continue to his work as Balkh governor.
Zabiullah Fetrat, deputy spokesman for Jamiat party, told Killid that head of Jamiat-e-Islami party and acting foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbani, Bismellah Mohammadi, former defence minister, Jan Ahmad Haqjo, and Noor Rahman Akhlaqi held talks with Atta Mohammad Noor, former governor of Balkh.
He did not provide further details but added that they are waiting for the response of ARG (Presidential Palace).
This comes as Atta Mohammad Noor, former governor of Balkh, addressing a gathering in northern Balkh province to commemorate the death anniversary of ex-Mujahedeen commander Zabiullah yesterday, lashed out at Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and said that Jamiat-e-Islami party made a huge mistake backing him during elections.
“Abdullah is a snake up in everyone’s sleeve,” Noor said.
He also said that he would remain as Balkh governor until Jamiat party decide about his fate.
