Two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers, one security guard were killed in rebels attack on Wolesi Jirga member Mohammad Akbar Stanekzai in Logar province on Friday.
Haseebullah Stanikzai, head of Logar Provincial Council, said the incident happened at around 1 pm when Stanikzai traveled to Padkhab-Shana, his village for offering Friday Prayer.
Stanikzai survived the attack but his bodyguard and two army personnel were killed.
Saleem Saleh, provincial governor’s spokesman, confirmed the incident and accused Taliban for the attack.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
