The first round of Afghanistan-China-Pakistan trilateral foreign ministers’ talks to reduce tension between Kabul and Islamabad will be held in Beijing on Tuesday, December 26.
According to Chinese Foreign Ministry, Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani and Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif of Pakistan will head delegations to attend the dialogue.
“As a common neighbour and friend of Afghanistan and Pakistan, China always supports Afghanistan and Pakistan to live in friendship and achieve common development,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said.
She hoped the trilateral meeting would hopefully reduce tension between the two countries.
Afghanistan envoy to the UN Mahmoud Saikal hoped the trilateral meeting would have positive results.
