The police chief for Aab Kamari district of Badghis province, Ghulam Rasoul, was killed in a clash with Taliban militants yesterday evening.
Ahmad Amiri, spokesman for Badghis governor, told Killid that Rasoul was on his way to support Afghan forces after they came under attack by Taliban insurgents in their check post.
Amiri added that one policeman was killed and two others were injured.
Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
