Iqbal Baher, spokesman for Farah police, told Killid that Taliban militants attacked a supply convoy of Afghan security forces in Todanak area of Balablok district.
He added that five Taliban insurgents were killed and eight injured in the clashes with security forces.
In a separate incident, Taliban insurgents attacked a security check post in Sor area of Farah in which two Taliban insurgents were killed and three injured.
Baher further stated that there were no casualties among Afghan security forces in both incidents.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
