Greece Foreign Minister Nikolaos Kotzias addressing the Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs said that Afghanistan will open an embassy in Greece soon.
Kotzias said that Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani will arrive in Greece on Monday where he will establish Afghanistan embassy in Athens.
Meanwhile Afghan officials said that the embassy will help deal with tens of thousands of illegal Afghan migrants there.
Greece is the main entry point into Europe for migrants from across the Middle East and North Africa, including Algerians, Pakistanis, Somalis and Iraqis, as well as Afghans.
