Local officials in Ghazni reported that Taliban militants clashed with Afghan security forces in Qarabagh district.
Mohammad Arif Noori, spokesman for Ghazni governor, told Killid that Taliban militants launched attack on an army check post in Lewanai Bazar area of the district around 12 last night and clashed with security forces for four hours.
He added that three army soldiers were killed and two injured.
He further stated eight Taliban fighters were also killed and a dozen injured.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
