Farah provincial council reported that 15 Afghan soldiers were killed and five injured in Taliban attacks on police and army check posts in different parts of the province.
Jamila Amini, head of Farah provincial council, told Killid that Taliban militants attacked Afghan security forces’ check posts in Khatiban and Shkeban area of Balablok district last night.
Meanwhile Naser Mehre, spokesman for Farah governor, said that 20 Taliban insurgents were killed and 20 injured in the attack.
Mehre added that eight Afghan soldiers were killed and three injured during the clashes.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
