President Ashraf Ghani met with UN Security Council’s Sanctions Committee Head Kairat Umarov in ARG (Presidential Palace) yesterday.
Both sides exchanged views on joint cooperation, security and stability in Afghanistan and region, fight against terrorism, reforms and peace process.
Umarov reiterated their commitment to working and standing with the Afghan government in preventing security threats and bringing peace to the country.
An ARG press release quoting Ghani stated that the aim of US strategy and Afghan government is lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region.
