University Student Commits Suicide in Badakhshan

Local officials in Badakhshan reported that a university student committed suicide by hanging himself yesterday.Naik Mohammad Nazri, provincial governor’s spokesman, said that Bismellah, 25-year old, was third year student at the Social Sciences Department of Badakhshan University.He added that Bismellah hanged himself from a tree in front of the university at 10:30 am in the morning. The cause of his death has not been ascertained. An investigation is underway. Earlier, a female student Shukria had hanged herself. She was a first year student at the Social Sciences Department of Badakhshan University.
