High-Quality Seeds for Farmers

Officials at Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL) reported that 10,000 metrics tones of quality seeds will be distributed to 20,000 farmers in 34 provinces. MAIL officials said that the seeds could cover 200,000 acres of lands. Nasir Ahmad Durrani, acting agriculture minister, said that the seeds distribution will increase wheat production between 25-30 percent. Meanwhile measured estimates of agricultural officials states that the yield from high-quality seeds in each hectare of land is double that of ordinary seeds.
