Ghani Orders Attorney General to Probe Makhkash’s Case

President Ashraf Ghani yesterday ordered the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) to investigate case of Sawabuddin Makhkash, deputy director of evaluation and supervision at Administrative Office of President. A press release from ARG (Presidential Palace) stated that president strongly condemns any act of bigotry, discrimination, and bias in the government system and allows nobody to fuel division among Afghan people. Ghani instructed AGO to fully investigate the incident impartially. Last week an ethnic plan of Makhkash was revealed to the media and he resigned soon after the closure of his plan.
