At least seven Taliban insurgents including a prominent commander named Mohammad Adalat were killed and three injured in clearing operations launched by security forces in Alingyar, Sendsarhadi, and Panjpai areas of Laghman province. Sarhadi Zowak, spokesman for Laghman governor, said that four Taliban insurgents were arrested during the operations. He added that there were no civilian or military casualties. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
