US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that Russia is supplying arms to the Taleban. Tillerson addressed a press conference yesterday stated that it is a violation, obviously, of international norms and of UN Security Council norms. “We certainly would object to that and call Russia’s attention to that. If anyone is going to supply arms, it needs to be through the Afghan Government,” Tillerson added. General John Nicholson, the commander of US forces in Afghanistan, said on April 24 that he wouldn’t dispute that Russia’s involvement in the Afghan war includes Moscow providing weapons to the Taleban. Russia denied that it provides any such support to the Taleban.
