Afghan National Army’s Commando Unit said that Agha Mohammad, a prominent Taleban commander, was arrested in Helmand province. Jawed Salem, spokesman for Afghan National Army’s Commando Unit, told Killid that Agha Mohammad, the deputy of Mullah Naeem, commander of Taleban for Helmand, Kandahar and Uruzgan provinces, was wounded when arrested by the forces. Salem added that over 20 Taleban insurgents were killed in the operation conducted by Afghan security forces. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
