Nangarhar Governor Urges Citizens to Cooperate with Government

Mohammad Gulab Mangal, Nangarhar governor, urged citizens, especially tribal elders, to cooperate in security and implementation of developmental projects in the province with the government. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that Mangal met with residents and tribal elders of Hasarak, Sherzad, Khogyani, and Pacheragam districts. The statement quoting Mohammad Aman, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah’s advisor and a tribal elder from Khogyani district, said that the residents of the district are ready to cooperate with the government and asked the governor to pay more attention to implementation of developmental projects in the district. The statement added that residents of Hasarak and Sherzad districts also pledged to cooperate with security forces for better security. Meanwhile Mangal urged tribal elders to encourage their sons to join the police ranks so that the youths can protect their own districts and villages.
