Security officials in Jowzjan said that at least 30 Daesh militants were killed and 10 injured in clashes with Afghan security forces in Darzab district. Mohammad Reza Ghafoori, spokesman for Jowzjan governor, told Killid that Daesh militants were trying to overrun the district over the past two days but they faced fierce resistance by Afghan security forces. He added that their attacks were repulsed last night after suffering heavy casualties. He further stated that among those killed were two prominent commanders named Bashir and Mahmoud.
