No Trace of Foreign Adviser Kidnapped in Kabul

Officials at Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL) said that so far there is no trace of the foreign advisor to MAIL who was abducted yesterday. They said that the man had been working on a World Bank-funded project of MAIL and was abducted by unknown gunmen in Karti-Char area of Kabul. Lotfullah Arshad, spokesman for MAIL, said that the man was abducted when he was on his way to office. He added that they cannot reveal his identity due to security issues. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
