Afghan security and defense forces recaptured Tora Bora area of Pacheragam district of Nangarhar from Daesh militants. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that the area has been totally cleared of insurgents and Afghan security forces have been settled in the area. The statement added that a clearing operation is successfully going on in Alif Khel and Markhani area of the district. Security officials in Nangarhar reported no civilian or military casualties. Daesh militants are yet to comment on the statement.
