Thousands Acres of Usurped Land Reclaimed in Paktika

Officials of Land Disputes Settlement Commission in Paktika said that thousands of land has been reclaimed from land usurpers in the province. Mohammad Rasoul Adil, head of provincial land disputes commission, said that more than 6,000 acres of land were recovered in Mata Khan district. He added that there has long been dispute over the public land between Andar and Saleh tribes in the past. Adil further stated that the commission succeeded to settle many tribal and family disputes in the province. According to Adil, they have addressed many family violence and clashes in parts of the province. Land Disputes Settlement Commission of Paktika is constituted of members from the provincial administration, the attorney’s office, judicial department, the National Directorate of Security (NDS0 and civil societies.
