Afghanistan scripted a famous victory against West Indies by 63 runs in their opening ODI match, thanks to Rashid Khan’s performance for the victory. A press release from Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) stated that choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Afghanistan posed 213 runs from 50 overs. The statement added that West Indies could not chase down the target and lost all their wickets in 44.4 overs. Rashid Khan took seven wickets while Gulbuddin Nayab took one wicket, and Dawlat Zadran two wickets. ACB reported that Rashid Khan was chosen as the man of the match.
