Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) announced that at least 12 prayers were either killed or injured in shooting inside a mosque in Paktia last night. A press release from MoI stated that unknown armed men started shooting at evening prayers at a mosque in PD 2th of Gardiz, provincial capital of Paktika around 8:45 pm last night. The statement added that three people were killed and nine injured. The statement further stated that the killings of innocent prayers are against teachings of Islam and assured that the perpetrators will punished. No group has claimed responsibility.
