Security officials in Kapisa province reported that Taleban shadow governor for the province was killed. Mohamad Ayub Yosufzai, spokesman for Kapisa police, told Killid today that Maulavi Hedayatullah, Taleban shadow governor for Kapisa along with ten Taleban insurgents, was killed in an Afghan security forces’ airstrike in a part of Tagab district. Yosufzai added that among those killed are prominent commanders of the group including their shadow district governor for Tagab. Meanwhile Zabiullah Mujahid, a so-called Taleban spokesman, rejected killing of the shadow governor and the group’s fighter and asserted that no Taleban fighters were either killed or injured in the province.
