Khost, Uruzgan Want Conflict to Cease in Ramadan

A number of Khost residents called on all militant groups to quit violence during the holy month of Ramadan and join the peace process but Taleban insurgents on the first day of Ramadan announced to accelerate their conflict and will not stop the violence.

Khost, Uruzgan Want Conflict to Cease in Ramadan

A number of residents of Khost province want the parties involved in the conflicts to stop the armed violence and join the peace process for the sake of Ramadan month but Taleban insurgents on the first day of Ramadan announced the conflict would be accelerated and violence will not stop. In Uruzgan province too people urged the parties involved in the conflict to respect the holy month and stop conflict. They said that in the holy month everybody must help poor and earn rewards. Earlier President Ashraf Ghani and UNAMA also asked the insurgents to stop violence during the month of Ramadan and join the peace process
