At least 17 Taleban insurgents were either killed or injured in Afghan security forces’ operations codenamed ‘Azm 6 Khalid’ in Ghor province. Abdul Hai Khatibi, spokesman for Ghor governor, told Killid that the operations have been going on in parts of the province over the past three days. He added that eight Taleban insurgents were killed and 9 injured. Khatibi further stated that so far 10 villages were cleared of insurgents and the operations continue. According to Khatibi, Afghan security forces seized some weapons, vehicles and ammunition of Taleban. A civilian was also injured. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
