30 Taleban Commandos Killed in Helmand

At least 30 Taleban commandos including a prominent commander were killed in a joint military operation conducted by Afghan and foreign forces in Nad Ali district of Helmand. A press release from Helmand governor’s office stated that the group had come from Mosa Qala and Kajaki district to Nad Ali and were trying to target Afghan security forces in Loebagh area of Nad Ali. The statement added that the militants were targeted by Afghan and foreign forces yesterday afternoon. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement yet.
