Teachers of schools in Kama district of Nangarhar have called off a strike and will resume lessons from today. The teachers were on strike for four days over delays in the distribution of promised plots. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that tribal elders met with Gulab Mangal, governor of Nangarhar yesterday. The statement added that the governor has assured the tribal elders that the government will distribute plots of land to the schoolteachers soon.
