White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said on Monday that US President Donald Trump is determined to defeat Daesh and Taleban in Afghanistan. He, however, noted that Trump wants to do so in “responsible, smart way” without revealing his plans to the enemy. US media quoting Spicer stated that Trump is constantly being briefed on the situation in Afghanistan and that he is utilising the treasury and the military to the best of America’s ability. Meanwhile President Trump’s top military advisers are proposing an additional 3,000 boots on the ground in Afghanistan as the US looks to confront a resurgent Taleban in the country.
