The US Embassy in Kabul warned American citizens of possible attacks on them in Kabul and across Afghanistan. A press release from the US embassy stated that they have received credible reports that US citizens could be targeted. The statement added that guest houses popular with westerners, US facilities, foreign embassies and military installations are the main target of the possible attack. The statement further stated that Taleban militants plan to carry out attacks on protests and gatherings as well. The embassy urged US citizens to avoid large crowds.
