Special Forces of Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported that at least four Taleban commanders including the shadow governor of the group for Baghlan were killed. Ahmad Jawed Salem, spokesman for Special Forces of Afghan National Army (ANA) told killid this morning that they were killed last night in a special operation in Dand-e-Ghori district. Salem identified the slain shadow governor as Maulavi Lal Hilal and the slain prominent commanders as Qari Janbaz, Qari Sher Alam, Qari Khalid, and Qari Abdul Halim. Salem further stated that the commanders were planning to launch a coordinated attack on the provincial capital when they were attacked by the special forces. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement yet.
