Security officials in Kapisa province said that 10 local and military officials including police chief, district governor, and security head of Kohistan-2 district police commandment were arrested on charges of corruption. Mohammad Ayub Yosufzai, spokesman for Kapisa police, told Killid that they were accused for release of a prisoner as well. He said that several irresponsible armed individuals were arrested last year but one of them was released and thus the officials were arrested. Yosufzai further stated that the officials were arrested by Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) Heavy Crime Department personnel and an investigation is underway.
