Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that an officer of the ministry was gunned down today. Dawlat Waziri, spokesman for MoD said that Brigadier Sultan Mahmoud, a technical engineer at MoD, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in PD 5th this morning. He added that the incident happened when brigadier Sultan Mahmoud was on his way to office and was attacked in Company area of Kabul. Waziri further stated that no one has so far been arrested in the connection to the crime but asserted that an investigation has been launched to identify and arrested the perpetrator. No group has claimed responsibility.
