Security officials in Jawzjan province said that 13 insurgents were killed and 10 others injured in Darzab district. Brigadier General Rahmatullah Turkistani, chief of Jawzjan police, said that the insurgents attacked Afghan security forces in Moghel Khail area of the district and were repulsed by Afghan security forces. He added that 13 insurgents including an Uzbek national were killed and 10 others including a prominent Daesh commander were injured. Meanwhile Halima Sadaf, member of provincial council of Jawzjan, said that 80 percent of the villages in Darzab district are under control of Taleban. She blamed the government for negligence in supporting Afghan security forces in the frontlines. Daesh and Taleban are yet to comment on the statement.
