Janjua: Pakistan Not Playing Double Game in Afghanistan

Pakistan National Security Advisor (NSA) Lt General Nasser Janjua said on Friday that Pakistan was not playing a double game in Afghanistan as Taleban were used against Pakistan in the name of Jihad. He said extremism in Pakistan was an outcome of the war in Afghanistan. Pakistani media reported that Janjua said it was a wrong perception that Pakistan was playing a double-game in Afghanistan. Had Pakistan been on the side of Taliban, then they would not be fighting against Pakistan. Janjua told attendees that the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is very porous with many points along the border that one can cross over; he gave an example of just Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where over 125 such points exist and in Balochestan there are over 200 illegal border crossings that Afghans use to enter Pakistan.
