Security officials in Herat reported that Taleban shadow district governor was injured in the province. Abdul Ahad Walizada, spokesman for Herat police, told Killid that Mullah Sher Ahmad, Taleban shadow district governor for Farsi district, along with a Taleban fighter was critically injured. Walizada added that the clash happened yesterday in Farsi district and a Taleban militant was also killed. The spokesman further stated that security forces also seized a gun, a radio, and a motorbike of the insurgents. He did not report of Afghan security forces’ casualties during the clash. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
