Explosion Rocks Khost Province

Local officials in Khost reported that an explosion happened near the Sayed Khail area of Dowa Manda district yesterday evening. They said that the explosion targeted Afghan security forces’ base in which six students were injured. Mubarez Mohammad Zadran, spokesman for Khost governor, said that the injured were in critical condition. Meanwhile a government source speaking on the condition of anonymity said that three Afghan security forces were killed in the incident. Killid reporters from the area reported that a number of shops in the area were also destroyed. No group has claimed responsibility. The Afghan security forces at this base are reportedly supported by US troops and conduct joint military operations.
