Daesh militants abducted eight farmers allegedly for cultivation of poppy in Haska Mina district of Nangarhar. Saz Wali Shenwari, district governor of Haska Mina, said that Daesh militants kidnapped the farmers who had cultivated poppy on their farms and took them to an unknown location. He asserted that the area where the farmers had cultivated poppy was under Daesh militants’ control. Meanwhile residents said that the number of farmers abducted by Daesh militants is more than 14 people. Local officials said that they are trying to free the farmers. Daesh militants are yet to comment on the incident.
