Pakistanis among 7 Armed Opponents Killed in Ghazni

Security officials in Ghazni province reported that 13 anti-government fighters including five Pakistani militants were killed and injured in parts of Moqar and Andar districts of Ghazni. Brigadier General Aminullah Amarkhail, chief of Ghazni police, told Killid that the men were planning to launch attacks on police checkpoints in parts of Moqar district. He added that security forces carried out counter operations in which seven armed oppositions were killed. Four others were injured. Amarkhail further stated that security forces and civilians did not suffer any casualties during the operation. Meanwhile a press release from Ghazni police stated that Afghan security forces launched joint clearing operations in parts of Andar district yesterday in which two armed oppositions were killed and a police man was injured. Taleban militants have not commented on the incident yet.
